    CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Monday, 12/10/2012 – 5 p.m. Monday, 1/28/2013

Teachers who are GAEA members are encouraged to offer their own high-school level adjudication process. The final ASAS submissions must be narrowed-down to 20 artworks per GAEA art teacher. In this process, the teacher might facilitate the high school adjudication process in one of the following suggested ways:

    • Students upload their own artworks and the GAEA teacher recruits a committee of adjudicators to review and select approved works through the ASAS online system. This can be done perhaps by projecting the submission web site in a closed room where the teacher logs into the system and navagates the slide show of his or her student images. The committee as a whole would actually select artworks by selecting the checkbox next to the best 20 images. If there is more than one GAEA teacher in a high school, each teacher's online account would have to be accessed in order to see the artworks for an entire school.
    • The GAEA teacher recruits a committee of adjudicators to review and select artworks from perhaps an exhibition of actual works. The teacher then would upload images of up to 20 of the selected works to the submission site and approve them for the next level of adjudication.
    • The GAEA teacher selects 20 works and uploads images of them to the submission site. Once uploading is complete, the teacher would also need to approve each work for the next level of adjudication at the "View Your Submissions" link on the left sidebar.

District adjudicators gain access to the submission site to view all artworks within his or her region after the deadline of 11:55 p.m., Sunday, January 27. District adjudicators are established by GAEA district size. The larger districts have more than one district adjudicator. If you are GAEA member who wishes to become a district adjudicator, please contact your district president of the GAEA.

Contact Shane McDonald at smcdona4@kennesaw.edu or (770) 423-6557 if you have questions or issues.  Shane will not be available by telephone December 18, 2012 - January 6, 2013, but Emails will be read periodically.

    DISTRICT-LEVEL ADJUDICATION: Tuesday, 1/29/2013 – Sunday, 2/10/2013

District adjudicators login to the submission site to adjudicate artwork from his/her district. Each adjudicator approves up to 50 artworks to be available for state level adjudication.

State adjudicator receives access to the submission site to view all artworks accepted at the regional level at 10 a.m. February 20.
